Winchester Green Week 2021 – time to get involved

We have a beautiful reflection on God’s creation and our city below.

1 The Climate Course starts on Friday, October 1st to learn about Caring for Our Common Home and our part we must play in solving the problem for all. Click here to enrol

2 Artists, photographers, writers and poets are being invited to explore the heart of Winchester in response to the challenges of climate change this autumn.

‘May our struggles and concern for our planet never take away the joy of our hope’. Pope Francis – Laudato Si – ‘on care for our common home’ 2015

Send photography, painting, drawing, doodling, sewing, writing, poetry and other creative expressions of concern and hope to be exhibited during Winchester Green Week and the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow in November.

4. The Climate Song Invitation:

Winchester Action on Climate Change is inviting Winchester to sing a song about the climate to send a message to politicians. You can join the ‘flash mob’ event on the streets of Winchester Sunday 3rd October at 5pm, with rehearsals at 7pm on Tuesday 28th September and 7pm on Thursday 30th at All Saints Church, Petersfield Rd or film your group playing and singing and send this to the organiser.

To find out more about this and other events across Winchester such as a ‘community song flash mob’ visit the Winchester Green Week Facebook page.

5. The Parish Facebook page will have more ideas and inspiration for you this week.
