Burning of the Palms
In preparation for Ash Wednesday Father Mark led the children in a liturgy of the burning of palms. He used fronds from last year’s Palm Sunday, burning them to create ashes, ashes similar to what we used at today’s Distribution of the Ashes service. Children and staff commented on how meaningful the liturgy was for them.
