Centenary Walking Pilgrimage Across the Parish – Saturday 19th Sept – Stockbridge to Alresford via Winchester
Here is a link to the form for the Centenary Pilgrimage Walk across the Parish of St. Peter and the
Winchester Martyrs on Saturday 19th September.
We will gather at St. Thomas More, Stockbridge at 6:30am, ready to begin walking at 7am, calling at
St. Stephen’s (about 11 miles, arrive approx midday) and then on to St. Peter’s (another 4 miles, arrive
approx 1:40pm) and then finally on to St. Gregory the Great, Alresford (another 10 miles, arrive just
after 6pm).There will be a brief (approx 30 minute) pause in each church for some prayers, some
light refreshments and a chance to use the facilities. (NB public toilets will be few and far between along the route!)
You are welcome to join us for all or part of the walk and you will need to be sufficiently physically fit to walk at a reasonable pace (average 3mph) for the distance you sign up for.
Under 18s may join us, but only if accompanied by an adult, who is totally responsible for them and must keep them in line of sight at all times.
