The Winchester Catholic History Society welcomes Cardinal Timothy Radcliffe for an evening of faith and reflection at Winchester College, drawing on his experience as a Dominican friar, theologian and Church leader.

We warmly welcome everyone of all faiths and none to experience St Peter’s Church transformed into a place of beauty, hope and wonder through illuminations, live music, quiet reflection and community hospitality, celebrating the rich heritage of the parish. This event is an invitation to encounter joy, belonging and inspiration as part of A Place for All.

Candlemas, celebrated on 2 February, marks the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple and is a feast of light and hope, symbolising Christ as the light of the world. This celebration also launches St Peter’s Centenary year under the themes Light of the World and A Place for All.
Locus Iste, meaning This place was made by God, is a two part Centenary production telling the story of St Peter’s past, present and future through music, movement and community. Performances take place at 4pm and 7pm, followed by refreshments in the Pastoral Centre.
Trained at the Royal Academy of Music and ordained as a Benedictine priest, Fr Andrew Moore brings together musical excellence and spiritual depth in a Centenary concert at St Peter’s Winchester on Sunday 8 March, featuring sacred music and raising funds for Trinity Winchester in support of the homeless.

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week with a procession commemorating Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, followed by Mass and prayer as we prepare for Easter.
The Easter blessing of food takes place at midday at St Peter’s Church, also known as Święcenie pokarmów wielkanocnych.
